For a number of years, the photographers of Sputnik Photos have been involved in visual education, conducting workshops for emerging photographers in Poland and abroad.
SPUTNIK PHOTOS Mentoring programme
The mentorship programme is a year-long advanced documentary photography course, taking place at Sputnik’s headquarters – the Studio – in Warsaw. Participants, each overseen by a mentor, work on their own, year-long photography projects. The course also includes numerous meetings with invited speakers as well as theory lectures which support students at successive stages of their work. Participants are also able to work closely with Sputnik’s photographers. For more information, click HERE.
4×3 / One, two, buckle my shoe…
In the summer of 2011, Sputnik photographers visited 12 small towns and villages in different parts of Poland. In each of them, they gave out cameras to children so that they could document their surroundings. The result of the project is One, two, buckle my shoe – a photo book with the children’s pictures, as well as a short documentary film about the making of the project. Speaking in a loud voice
In 2013, Sputnik begins a cycle of workshops in the Caucasus and Moldova, and further on also in Central-Eastern Asia. For more information, click HERE.
