The first cheerleaders groups in Poland appeared in the nineties and were like many other fashions that came to Poland form the United States. “Hasao Cheerleaders” is a team dancing for Legia Football Club in Warsaw. The team consists of 15 girls aged 15-18, pupils of several Warsaw high schools. The team is sometimes criticized by Legia sport fans – they would prefer to have a professional American-like cheerleader team with dancers looking like super models. The girls don’t seem to be moved by this critic. Thanks to public shows, sexy costumes and make-up they feel better that their school friends and attractive for men. They are also fans of Legia club and they are happy they can attend the matches.
